Demon Slayer enthusiasts are receiving an unexpected casting announcement as Channing Tatum and Rebecca Wang have been officially confirmed for the English dubbing ensemble of the forthcoming Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle theatrical release.
The new additions will complement the established English voice cast from the anime series, including Zach Aguilar reprising Tanjiro Kamado, Abby Trott returning as Nezuko Kamado, Aleks Le continuing as Zenitsu Agatsuma, Bryce Papenbrook maintaining his Inosuke Hashibira role, Johnny Yong Bosch as Giyu Tomioka, and Erika Harlacher as Shinobu Kocho. Tatum, recently featured in Roofman, will portray Keizo, while Wang assumes the character of Koyuki.
"We're delighted to reunite with our cherished English voice performers reprising their established roles for Infinity Castle," stated Mitchel Berger, executive VP of global commerce.
"Their distinctive vocal performances have significantly enhanced character appreciation and franchise popularity. Additionally, we're excited to welcome Channing Tatum, who developed his appreciation for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and anime through viewing the series with his daughter, alongside Rebecca Wang as the English voices of Keizo and Koyuki."
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will debut theatrically across the United States and Canada on September 12, distributed through Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment. This represents the inaugural installment of a three-part cinematic trilogy adapting the series' climactic final confrontation, produced by animation studio Ufotable.
For audiences who have followed Tanjiro Kamado's odyssey from its inception, the narrative tension reaches unprecedented levels. The saga commenced when demons massacred Tanjiro's family, leaving his sister Nezuko transformed into one of their kind.
Committed to her salvation, Tanjiro enlisted with the Demon Slayer Corps, developing friendships with Zenitsu and Inosuke while confronting demons alongside the elite Hashira warriors. His journey has encompassed memorable story arcs, from collaborating with Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku aboard the Mugen Train, to partnering with Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui throughout the Entertainment District, and confronting lethal adversaries alongside Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji during the Swordsmith Village conflict.
Under Haruo Sotozaki's direction, Infinity Castle pledges to deliver among the franchise's most emotionally intense and visually spectacular installments.
