MARVEL ZOMBIES Animated Series Expands Cast with Black Panther, Thor, and Additional MCU Powerhouses

Marvel Studios' undead chronicle is preparing for significant expansion. As the October 3 launch of Marvel Zombies approaches rapidly, fresh character additions have been unveiled for the eagerly awaited Disney+ animated production.

This development arrives four years following the project's initial Disney+ Day announcement, indicating the zombie contagion within the Marvel Cinematic Universe is poised to affect substantial figures.

According to Nexus Point News intelligence, the roster will reportedly feature Black Panther, Thor, Namor, Valkyrie, John Walker, Melina Vostokoff, and Baron Zemo.

Current uncertainty surrounds whether these characters will participate in survival efforts or shamble among the reanimated masses. Additionally, no verification exists regarding original MCU performers reprising their vocal roles for the series.

The report also hints at appearances by zombie Hawkeye, zombie Captain America, and Blade Knight. Positioned within a distorted alternate reality, Marvel Zombies reconceptualizes the MCU featuring emerging heroes confronting relentless undead plague.

Intelligence suggests Scarlet Witch will assume "central prominence as a formidable antagonist." She'll be designated the Dead Queen, while Okoye "functions as secondary villain commanding an undead military force under Scarlet Witch's authority."

Confirmed returning MCU voice talent includes Awkwafina (Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings) as Katey, David Harbour (Thunderbolts) as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings) as Shang-Chi, Elizabeth Olsen (WandaVision) as Scarlet Witch, Randall Park (WandaVision) as Jimmy Woo, Florence Pugh (Thunderbolts) as Yelena Belova, Hailee Steinfeld (Hawkeye) as Kate Bishop, Dominique Thorne (Ironheart) as Riri Williams, and Iman Vellani (The Marvels) as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. Hudson Thames (What If…?) returns as Spider-Man.

Bryan Andrews directs the series with Zeb Wells providing screenplay and executive production duties. The show derives inspiration from What If…?'s fifth episode, where Ant-Man and the Wasp and Avengers: Infinity War events cascade into zombie apocalypse.

Andrews promised audiences a darker, more intensive Marvel undead interpretation through press materials: "more hardcore" and "pretty wild" zombie sequences, delivering considerably grittier content than What If…? presented.

Marvel Studios' Head of TV, Streaming, and Animation Brad Winderbaum stated previously, "Regarding mature animation development, we're currently producing a Marvel Zombies show that's genuinely intense—definitely TV-MA rated content.

"Again, we're attempting to honor the source comics. What made those comics exceptional was their uncompromising approach. That's precisely our objective for this project."
