Paul Reiser Partners with Son and THE GOLDBERGS Creator for New Fox Family Comedy Series

Paul Reiser, the accomplished performer and co-creator behind the beloved 90s sitcom Mad About You, has committed to developing a fresh comedy series for Fox, collaborating as both star and co-writer alongside his son Leon Reiser and Adam F. Goldberg, the creative force behind the successful family sitcom The Goldbergs.

The currently unnamed multi-camera comedy project, presently in development phases, explores the chaotic consequences when a family's underachieving adult son in his twenties finds himself compelled to work directly with his father (portrayed by Reiser) within their unglamorous New Jersey damaged goods enterprise.

Regarding the collaborative venture, Paul Reiser expressed enthusiasm: "Thrilled to be developing this series with the talented team at Fox and my two exceptional creative collaborators – Adam F. Goldberg and Leon Reiser. This project feels destined to become something truly memorable."

Reiser's contemporary television portfolio includes notable appearances in Netflix's The Kominsky Method, which secured him an Emmy nomination recognition, along with significant roles in Stranger Things, Amazon's The Boys, and Hulu's Reboot. His recent cinematic endeavors encompass co-writing and starring in The Problem With People, plus returning to his Jeffrey Friedman character in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.

The collaboration represents an intriguing convergence of generational perspectives, combining Paul Reiser's established comedy expertise with his son's fresh creative input and Goldberg's proven track record in family-centered humor. This multi-generational writing partnership promises to deliver authentic insights into contemporary father-son dynamics while maintaining the comedic timing that has defined Reiser's successful career.

The project's development at Fox continues the network's commitment to character-driven comedy programming, with the damaged goods business setting providing ample opportunity for both workplace humor and family relationship exploration.
